Day 1: Johannesburg – Kasane
South African Airlink flight departing OR Tambo International airport to Kasane arriving, early afternoon. After clearing customs and immigration, you will be met in the arrival hall by your driver guide from Kubu Lodge. Short 20 minute road transfer to Kubu Lodge.
Day 1 & 2: Kubu Lodge, Kasane
2 nights’ accommodation in a twin chalet as follows:
Day 1- Dinner, bed and breakfast
Day 2- Fully inclusive of accommodation, all meals, 2 activities (game drive and boat cruise).
Note that drinks, gratuities and park fees need to be paid to the lodge directly. As park fees are per day, we recommend doing both activities on the same day.
Kubu Lodge is an up market lodge offering chalets on stilts set out on well-tended lawns which sweep down to the Chobe River in front. The chalets are all en-suite and each has its own raised deck offering pleaseant views of the gardens and the Chobe River. The dining at Kubu Lodge is one of the best in the Kasane area. The lodge offers boat cruises on the Chobe River as well as game drives into Chobe National Park.
Day 3: Kubu Lodge to Linyanti Ebony
Kubu Lodge will transfer you by road to Kasane Airport in time for your light aircraft transfer with Safari Air to Linyanti Ebony Camp. Your Safari Air pilot will be waiting for you in the airport to escort you through security and to your plane. Your flight time will be communicated with you the day before by the receptionist at Kubu Lodge. You must have your passport to pass through security – even for internal flights in Botswana.
A guide and vehicle from Africa Bush Camps will meet you at the Linyanti airstrip and transfer you to the camp. When you arrive at the camp, you will be briefed about the lodge.
Day 3 & 4: Linyanti Ebony
2 nights fully inclusive in a twin tent (double beds are available on request). The camp offers game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, walking excursions with an armed professional guide, boating and fishing along the water lagoons and mokoro excursions.
Linyanti Ebony Camp is built on raised decking overlooking the Linyanti Marsh and the Linyanti River. The camp’s well-appointed accommodation includes 3 twin bedded tents and 1 luxury family room. A private dining and lounge area with a splash pool makes the camp a perfect choice for family experiences or couples.
Day 4: Linyanti Ebony- Camp Okuti
You will be transferred to the airstrip in time for your Safari Air flight to Okuti Camp. Your flight time will be communicated with you the day before by the camp manager at Linyanti Ebony.
When you arrive at Okuti airstrip, a guide and vehicle from Ker and Downey will be waiting for you. The drive to camp is a short 15 minute drive depending on what game you see along the way. When you arrive in the camp your guide/manager will brief you about the camp.
Days 4 & 5: Camp Okuti
2 nights fully inclusive in a twin room (double beds are available on request).
The camp offers day game drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles inside Moremi Game Reserve as well as boating on the permanent waters of the Xakanaxa Lagoon.
Okuti Camp is situated alongside the Maunachira River which flows through the Xakanaxa lagoon within the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve. Accommodation comprises of twin-bedded units, each with en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, hot and cold running water and flush toilet. All curved “tents” are set on raised decks overlooking the river. Activities offered during your stay include game drives and motor boating.
Day 6: Camp Okuti- Kanana Camp
You will be transferred to Okuti Airstrip for your Safari Air flight to Kanana Camp. Your flight time will be communicated with you the day before by the camp manager at Okuti Camp.
A vehicle from Ker and Downey will be at the airstrip to meet you and transfer you to the camp. Your guide will then brief you about the lodge.
Days 6 & 7: Kanana Camp
2 nights fully inclusive in a twin tent (double beds are available on request)
The camp offers day (and night) game drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles as well as motorised boating and mokoro trips. Note that mokoro trips are subject to hippo activity near camp.
Kanana Camp is situated in a private concession overlooking the Kudum River. Accommodation includes spacious twin-bedded tents set on raised teak decks offering a breathtaking view over the waterways. All tents have an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water, shower and flush toilet. Activities during your stay include mokoro excursions, game drives, motor boating, night drives and also private access by motorboat to one of the largest heronries in the Okavango Delta
Day 8: Kanana Camp to Camp Kalahari
You will be transferred to the airstrip in time for your light aircraft flight with Safari Air to Maun Airport. When you arrive in Maun a representative from Liquid Giraffe and Flying Mission will be in the terminal to meet you. You will be issued your light aircraft tickets to Camp Kalahari and will be escorted back through security to the domestic departure lounge. Flying Mission will fly you to Camp Kalahari. When you arrive at the airstrip, your guide and vehicle will be waiting for you to transfer you to the camp. When you arrive in camp, you will be briefed by your guide/manager about the camp.
Days 8 & 9: Camp Kalahari
2 nights fully inclusive in a twin tent (double beds available on request)
The camp is in the middle of a vast salt pan and savanna plains and whatever you do is an adventure – travelling out on the Pans by quad bike, searching for the elusive brown hyena or getting up close to the habituated meerkats!
Camp Kalahari is situated on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, adjacent to the Makgadikgadi-Nxai Pans National Park, Botswana. Camp Kalahari has 10 spacious Meru tents. All ten traditional safari tents are en-suite and fitted with rich textiles, Moroccan kilims, and four poster beds.
Day 10: Camp Kalahari to Maun
Flying Mission will fly you by light aircraft to Maun Airport in time to check in for your fight to Johannesburg departing Maun at approximately 14:00. Your flight time to Maun will be communicated with you the day before by the camp manager at Camp Kalahari.
The prices include fully inclusive stays at all camps, all light aircraft transfers, meet and greet services in Maun, Okavango Air Rescue, all park/concession fees and taxes but exclude all international or regional flights to/from Botswana, travel insurance, gratuities and items of a personal nature
