Access to Botswana by air:
There are 2 daily flights a day between Johannesburg and Maun (the gateway to the Okavango Delta) with Air Botswana and Airlink. Both airlines also fly to Kasane (bordering the Chobe National park) daily.
Internally, all camps and lodges are accessed via light aircraft from Maun or Kasane. These are available on both a 'seat in plane' rate (set schedules) or if there are more than 4 people, by charter (flexible flying times). Our preferred flying partner is Mack Air.
You can also access Botswana easily from Victoria falls (Zimbabwe) and Livingstone (Zambia) – either by short road transfers or by light aircraft. For those coming via East Africa, Kenya Airways flies into Gaborone, the capital of Botswana and there are daily flights between Gaborone and Maun.
Some camps and lodges (in the Khwai area, Moremi, Savute and the Kalahari) can be accessed by vehicle on a self-drive basis.
