Our Lodge focus this month is on Khulu Bush Camp, a luxury safari lodge in Hwange National Park. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Khulu Bush Camp<\/a> is part of the Amalinda Safari Collection<\/a> that consists of four luxury safari camps and lodges set in the remote wilderness areas of Hwange National Park and the Matopos National Park. Khulu Bush Camp is the smaller camp of the lot and a tribute to Cedric Wilde, one of the Directors of the Amalinda Safari Collection, who it is named after. Khulu is the community and staff\u2019s affectionate name for Cedric and it means \u2018grandfather\u2019.<\/p>\n

Khulu Bush Camp Accommodation an Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Khulu Bush Camp is an intimate camp with only six beautifully decorated en-suites, each with balconies overlooking the private waterhole. The exclusive Honeymoon Suite has an outside bathtub, providing the perfect spot to appreciate the river view.<\/p>\n

The main area is an open-plan and airy thatched building which overlooks the camp’s plunge pool and the waterhole beyond.<\/p>\n

Communal evening meals are enjoyed at the long dining table where guests can socialize with other guests and share their safari memories with each other.<\/p>\n

The camp also boasts a firepit, which is at ground level and closer to the waterhole, so a great spot from which to enjoy wildlife viewing and birdwatching.<\/p>\n

Activities at Khulu Bush Camp<\/strong><\/p>\n

Guests can explore the surrounding areas on morning and evening game drives. A must-do while staying at this camp are the guided walking safaris where you get the chance to get close to the smaller and bigger animals of the park.<\/p>\n

The Dete Cultural Tour is also an eye-opening experience where guests wanting to learn more about the local culture visit a rural school and village in the nearby Dete Village.<\/p>\n
