A visit to Africa is not complete without engaging in the world of Africa’s ancient people. The Bushmen in the Botswana Kalahari area practice a way of life that is as old as the gnarled baobab trees. If you are into the warrior races, then consider the Maasai of East Africa. One of our favourite camps is Tangulia Mara. Owners and staff are Maasai themselves and apart from a thrilling location for big game, this is the pace to visit and interact with the Maasai at one of the Mara villages. For those visiting East Africa, The Mara blends in perfectly with an extension into the Serengeti in Tanzania or the gorilla forests of Bwindi in Uganda.
