The red sand dunes of the southern region at Sossusvlei are a sight to behold in the early light of dawn and some you can climb. Stay at Little Kulala to experience this extraordinary area of sand and savour some of the special creatures you might see such as brown hyena.
The mountainous area of the Damaraland is home to black rhino. Track these endangered creatures on foot from the remote Desert Rhino Camp and you may also see the lesser known mountain zebra too – as well as a litany of lizards creatures.
