We represent a vast array of lodges, bush camps, guest houses, camps and hotels in Botswana and all our other African destinations.. We can arrange accommodation in the lodge of your choice or even arrange multiple stops in a variety of lodges, offering a range of locations and environments to suit your tastes and experiences.
Access to Botswana by air:
There are daily flights between Johannesburg and Maun (the gateway to the Okavango Delta) with Air Botswana and South African Airlink. Both airlines also fly to Kasane (bordering the Chobe National Park) daily. Maun is also linked to Cape Town by a daily South African Airlink flight.
There is a wealth of safari options in Botswana – from scheduled departures with mobile safari companies (both rustic to luxurious) to tailor-made safaris to almost any destination within the country.
We also offer specialised horse riding safaris in the Okavango Delta. Liquid Giraffe’s Director is an experienced horse rider so can advise on locations and styles of safari to match your personal interests.
Liquid Giraffe is proud to be able to extend our services to ensure your arrival into Africa is as seamless as possible. For many who might be flying into Africa for the first time, arriving in an unknown airport can be daunting and sometimes confusing. Our Extra Mile services are designed to make your arrivals hassle free.
Car and 4WD hire
We book non equipped and fully equipped 4WD vehicles (Landcruisers and double cab Hilux cars) and these can be picked up and dropped off in either Maun or Kasane. For an extra fee, we can also book vehicles on one way hire with a drop off in Windhoek.
Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, is where Liquid Giraffe is based. Most of our guests fly into Maun from Johannesburg to start their unforgettable Botswana safari. As we are locally based, we track your flight arrivals into Maun and therefore are aware of your exact arrival time. If you are delayed, we work on alternative arraignments before you land. This helps to minimize delays.
Did you know that we offer the following complimentary services? We will:
- Meet and greet you in the airport arrivals hall with a smile and small gift.
- Assist with tracking lost luggage, which means we will follow-up with the airline so that you can fly to your first destination in Botswana, and ensure your luggage follows you as soon as possible.
- Offer canvas bags and secure storage if you are travelling in Africa for extended periods with large luggage, and, for a small fee, we can arrange to send your luggage onto Kasane if you are exiting from there.
- Rearrange your onward travel plans for you if you are delayed arriving into Maun.
- Meet you on your arrival into Maun for an onward connection if requested, and help you check in, provide you with departure forms and guide you through to security and immigration.
- Arrange a representative from your lodge or transfer company if you are arriving into or departing from Kasane.
Johannesburg, South Africa
For all arrivals into Johannesburg (either before or after your safari), we can arrange for airside meet and greet services for a small fee if you require special assistance.

We arrange to have someone meet you in the arrivals hall. This will be a cheerful representative or driver from your lodge or transfer company.
