We can arrange accommodation in the lodge of your choice or even arrange multiple stops in a variety of lodges, offering a range of locations and environments to suit your tastes and experiences.
Flights
Access to Botswana by air:
There are daily flights between Johannesburg and Cape Town and Maun (the gateway to the Okavango Delta) with Airlink. Airlink also flies to Kasane (bordering the Chobe National Park) daily.
Safaris
There is a wealth of safari options in Botswana – from scheduled departures with mobile safari companies (both rustic to luxurious) to tailor-made safaris to almost any destination within the country.
We also offer specialised horse riding safaris in the Okavango Delta. Liquid Giraffe’s Director is an experienced horse rider so can advise on locations and styles of safari to match your personal interests.

For many who might be flying into Africa for the first time, arriving in an unknown airport can be daunting and sometimes confusing. Our Extra Mile services are designed to make your arrivals hassle free.
Botswana
Most of our guests fly into Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, to start their unforgettable Botswana safari. You can also fly into Maun from Victoria Falls with Fastjet some days a week. This makes starting or ending a Botswana safari with the iconic Victoria Falls so much easier!
Did you know that we offer the following complimentary services? We or our Botswana partners will:
- Meet and greet you in the airport arrivals hall with a smile.
- Assist with tracking lost luggage, which means we will follow-up with the airline so that you can fly to your first destination in Botswana, and ensure your luggage follows you as soon as possible.
- Rearrange your onward travel plans for you if you are delayed arriving into Maun.
- Arrange a representative from your lodge or transfer company if you are arriving into or departing from Kasane.
Johannesburg, South Africa
For all arrivals into Johannesburg (either before or after your safari), we can arrange for airside meet and greet services for a small fee if you require special assistance.
Victoria Falls & Livingstone, Zambia
We arrange to have someone meet you in the arrivals hall. This will be a cheerful representative or driver from your lodge or transfer company.

Your safari includes an invaluable meet and greet service in each of the African airports. Your representative will be there (even if your flight is delayed) to help you with any issue you may face, such as lost luggage, and ensure you are transferred to your lodge or onward airline efficiently.
Devil’s Pool At Livingstone Island
Devil’s Pool is adjacent to the famous Livingstone Island on the edge of the Victoria Falls. Guests can enjoy an exhilarating swim to the edge of the falls during their Livingstone Island visit (in low water).

Mack Air
Internally, all camps and lodges are accessed via light aircraft from Maun or Kasane. These are available on both a ‘seat in plane’ rate (set schedules) or by private charter (flexible flying times). Our preferred flying partner is Mack Air.
Getting to Botswana
You can also access Botswana easily from Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) and Livingstone (Zambia) – either by short road transfers. Victoria Falls is now well connected to the world via Kenya Airways. Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates and from Johannesburg, Fastjet or Airlink.
